EyeSpy Creations Giveaway
Annie-Maree from EyeSpy Creations made her first quilt in 2004 and never looked back. Recently, she launched her new business EyeSpy Creations and for her debut quilt pattern, Annie-Maree has created a wonderful indigenous eye spy quilt, showcasing eighteen Australian florae and faunae prints, solids and indigenous inspired fabrics.
Kits to make this wonderful quilt can be purchased from her website http://www.eyespycreations.com.au/. Included in the kit is fabric for the quilt top and binding with a set of easy and very comprehensive instructions to make the quilt.
This quilt would make a lovely gift for children and adults alike.
To celebrate the debut of this exquisite quilt, Annie-Maree will be giving away a selection of indigenous prints.
To enter, please leave a comment on this post telling me what your favourite Australian native animal is and which one you would hate to meet? I love the pale faced rosellas that nest in our yard and shiver at the thought of seeing a red back spider.
This giveaway is open to everyone no matter where you live. Don't forget to leave me a way of contacting you.
Giveaway ends May 31st 2011.

You have to be in it to win it.
Like many our there in Blog Land, I have entered every competition and giveaway in hope of winning. Out of the hundred or so I have put my name to, I have won three. That is a 3%. Not bad. My last win was this cute screen print and hand dyed fabric selection from Deborah Fowkes at Jump Creations. I will make a little boys quilt out of my winnings. Thank you Deborah for hosting the giveaway.
In the post today I received a beautiful hexie from Frances in NSW. It has brightened my day. Thank you Frances it will look amazing in my garden.

Tuesday's Treasure - When we were young
I come from a family of five sisters. My eldest sister, Linda, sent me some old photos of when we were very young. I don't remember any of those moments. It's funny how you forget your youth. Maybe it's just dementia setting in.

Goodies in the post
It was like Christmas yesterday. I received parcels from Anorina and Anne-Mette. Anorina of http://www.sameliasmum.com/ was my swap partner this month for the QBSA. In the package was also a groovy hexie flower, pin cushion, Tron DVD (Yippee!, I won) and an exquisite block.
Thank you Anorina.
The other package contained my beautiful Mug Rug from Anne-Mette in Denmark. Anne-Mette had made a double sided MR with embroidery. It is a very special gift and I will treasure it forever. Thank you.
Anne-Mette knows I like hexies, birds, turquoise, red and chocolate. Perfect.

Caffeine Carpet for a Friend
Tomorrow I am attending a birthday lunch for a friend and to celebrate the occasion, I made this simple Mug Rug (aka Caffeine Carpet).
I used some Alexander Henry 'Dasha' fabrics and appliqued a large flower from one of the collection onto some Kaufman Linen. I am in love with the Kaufman linens at the moment. They are beautiful to sew with and they are great for backgrounds or adding textures to solid fabric projects.

April Block for QBSA-1 and Block Swap Adventure
Ta Da.... Anorina likes blacks, greys, yellows and reds. I pretty much covered the colour selection. I hope she likes the block.
This one if for Marina in the Netherlands. Marina had no preferences except for Browns. I hope she likes her Kaffe irregular log cabin block.
I even managed to get my April hexies done for the Inchy Swap. These will be on their way to India. What a fruitful day!
