I remember them and if you go out into the country there are lots and lots...thats in WA of course. But like you say they make fabulous paper weights.
These are fantastic Jane! I love them. toni xxx
Now this one really got me. There is no way I would have guessed what they are. Thank you so much for joining in Tuesday Treasures, it is very much appreciated.
Wow, they are beautiful, I have only ever seen old brown ceramic ones but have never managed to get my hands on any.Beautiful treasures :-)
I love your old insulators. I see that one is "Agee" brand, the same company that made so many preserving jars. I fun item to find on your travels.
I bet they are really, really old. I think glass probably started out as clear and changed colour in the sun due to the minerals in the glass.
A great use for the insulators. I have some but have them in the garden.Happy days.Bev.xoxo
I love the colors these insulators come in , in a window they really catch the light nicely.
My DH would give his eye teeth for some of those...he is an electrical engineer(ret.)and remembers them well...lucky find!
I would never have guessed - I remember ceramic ones.... Lovely treasure.... I think I would like to find some....Hugz
